Portraits and Headshots

The Environmental Portrait

Storied real estate agent Andrew Gates met me at a prestigious home for a session of portrait work. We moved across multiple locations and wardrobe changes over a multi-hour shoot and produced a great variety of images that will last him for years to come.

Corporate Headshots, With Style

Real Estate Tech Startup Convene brought me in for a day to photograph their member companies employees. I set up an on-location photo studio and subjects stopped by in 15 minute increments for quick sessions, some took a while to get ready for camera, some came very prepared and were done in 2 minutes. We shot 40 people across 2 days

Bryan, an actor, wanted to make funny faces, and this became a theme for everyone in the shoot afterward.

Danielle, a dancer, taught me a technique called synchronized breathing that dancers use to quickly become comfortable with one another, which helped her overcome her nerves about being in front of camera.

I used a lighting setup that allow for quickly swapping between White, Grey, and Dark Moody Imagery.

I also had the subject hold up a card with their name and Instagram handle for ease of sorting and connecting after the shoot, which worked out very well.

Many of these subjects still use these images to this day, many years later.
